These Terms govern your use of the Ruchy mobile app. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Ruchy is

Ruchy helps you save recipes from links, photos, and text, organise them, and cook them.

1a. What it costs

Ruchy is a paid subscription with a 7-day free trial. The trial is an App Store or Google Play introductory offer: you subscribe, the first seven days cost nothing, and it converts automatically unless you cancel before day seven.

If you cancel or the subscription lapses, Ruchy does not lock you out. Your saved recipes, cook mode, groceries and pantry keep working on everything already saved; only the AI-assisted actions stop. What you saved stays yours.

Ruchy Plus is a recurring subscription, billed by the App Store or Google Play in your local currency. Prices are shown in the app before you confirm. Cancel any time through your store account; cancelling stops future charges and does not delete anything you have saved.

2. Your responsibilities

• Use the app only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Only import content you have the right to use. You are responsible for the links, text, and photos you bring into the app.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app or its backend, including the recipe-import service.

3. AI-generated content — important

Ruchy uses AI to read recipes and to estimate things like nutrition, cooking times, and ingredient substitutions. AI can be wrong. Nutrition figures and any "Ask the kitchen" answers are estimates, not professional advice.

Allergies and food safety are your responsibility. Always check ingredients yourself before cooking or eating, especially if you or anyone eating has an allergy or dietary restriction. Do not rely on Ruchy as your only check. Ruchy is not a medical, nutritional, or food-safety service.

4. Recipe content and creators

Recipes you import may originate from third-party creators and websites. Ruchy is a tool for organising your own cooking, not a publisher of anyone else's work, and it is built to keep it that way.

What Ruchy takes. Ruchy extracts the functional parts of a recipe: ingredients and quantities, timings, and the method rewritten as short step-by-step instructions, plus its own estimate of nutrition. It does not copy the writer's headnote, story, commentary, or prose voice. Where a source cannot be read, Ruchy writes a typical recipe for the dish itself and marks it as an estimate rather than the source's own recipe.

Photographs stay with their owner. When a recipe shows a photo from the source page, Ruchy links to that image on the original site rather than storing a copy. Recipe cards you share carry your own photo or a Ruchy illustration, never the source's photograph.

Your copy is yours, and private. The structured version is saved on your device and in your own private cloud space, for your personal use. Ruchy does not publish it, index it, sell it, or build a public library of imported recipes, and other users cannot browse what you have saved.

Credit travels with it. Every imported recipe keeps a link back to where it came from, shown on the recipe and included when you share it.

Your part. You choose what to import. Import only what you are entitled to access, and do not use Ruchy to reproduce or redistribute someone else's work beyond your own personal use.

Creators. If you are a creator and want your content removed from Ruchy's features, or you believe something here infringes your rights, email hello@ruchy.app with the details and we will act on it.

5. Your content

Your saved recipes and data belong to you. You can export or delete them at any time (see the Privacy Policy). You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, sync, and process your content to provide the app's features.

6. Availability and changes

We may add, change, or remove features, or pause the service, and we may update these Terms. We will update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. The app may not always be available.

7. No warranty

Ruchy is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that recipes, estimates, or the service will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ruchy and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated recipes, nutrition estimates, or allergen information. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Hyderabad, India.
